Weekly Schedule

3Fractions, Decimals and Percentages
4Algebra 1
5Statistics and Probability
6Ratio and Proportion

8Shapes, Area, Perimeter, Volume

The first session sets the scene for my way of teaching maths. It is very important to understand that despite there being 8 separate weeks of given topics, there will be a lot of overlap seen.Exam questions will be given totally out of context with the given topic(s) of the week. This is to ensure students are very used to seeing questions where they have no prior assumption about what the topic will be.

Meet Natalie

Natalie

With a Masters degree in Applied Statistics and a Bachelors degree in Mathematics, I worked as a Senior Statistician for large corporations before becoming a fully qualified secondary school teacher. My experience enables me to apply a pragmatic approach to maths in the real world whilst also having an in depth understanding of the educational system. This knowledge allows me to coach students on how to get the best out of exam situations and realise their potential in this area.

BEING A PARENTI am a mum to two children who are aged 21 and 17. It is the BEST job out there and the most challenging I think. They are at the heart of most of what I do and they have seen me go through many many stages of the rollercoaster of life - and they see me push through and work hard. I hope I make them proud and they learn a lot from me.

MY PASSIONIt is my greatest passion in life to be able to help as many people realise their own potential ; and spread my own spotlight onto maths for students to see it more clearly.I am not a maths genius ; in fact I will share that I did get a grade U in my Additional Maths GCSE in 1989!! However, resilience is very much my middle name - as is determination.I actually decided to do the Maths degree only after I had my A level results . I believe this passion comes from being Welsh.

SPARE TIMEWhen I am not sitting doing A Level Maths papers for fun (I call it CPD!), I love to do yoga, walk around nature with my camera in hand. I also have inherited a piano which is THE best thing ever.I am incredibly musical and have played in championship brass bands. Nowadays the piano is my only instrument and by playing little and often my playing has really improved. I find this is a good way to become more mindful and relax.

At the age of 40 I ran my first half marathon and in that very same year, ran another four AND my first ever marathon.Something I am immensely proud of and it shows that if you get that mindset right, it can work wonders to what you can achieve.

Natalie has a very strong knowledge and experience around mastering our own minds We have so much control over what we can achieve in life. And likewise, we can also carry a lot of beliefs that do not belong to us. This is something that adults can pay £1000s to learn. . Natalie will be using these as part of her course.INCLUDED IN THE £20 A WEEK.

"My daughter was really struggling with maths to the point where she would avoid revision, as she was scared of how much she didn’t ‘get’ it. After a few sessions with Natalie, her confidence has grown so much, she’s doing past papers willingly and has admitted she’s really enjoying maths now. She’s like a different child. I can’t thank and praise Natalie enough for her help and support recently. Highly recommend "
